Week 9- Bats
This week we learned about bats and all the neat stuff they do like echolocation.
Here we made bat masks after we read the book Stellaluna.
Here's what the outside of our classroom currently looks like: owls on the door, bats hanging around. We are getting into the Halloween theme.

Week 7- Seeds
Sorry to say, but Mrs. Ornes has somehow lost the week 7 pictures on her computer. If I find them I will post the pictures. This week we planted lima bean seeds and they are growing!!! The class is very excited to learn about the plant life cycle! We also made paper flowers and learned parts of a flower (stem, petals, leaves). The students also wrote their names with seeds! Hope you enjoy these projects at home! I promise I will do my best to not misplace pictures.

Week 6- Community Helpers
Finding herbs to take home in the garden. We will get to garden every five weeks thanks to neighborhood volunteers who help guide the kindergarten classes.
Checking to see whats growing. Some students also saw some of the ladybugs that we released into the garden last week.
Our guest reader this week was one of our grandfathers who read us Dr. Seuss stories with really funny voices!
Visiting the local fire station as part of our community helpers unit. We learned about fire safety and got to go through a fire truck.
